The Medical Faculty Mannheim of the University of Heidelberg and the German Cancer Research Center will in 2006 jointly establish the Research Division Vascular Biology in recognition of the critical importance of vascular functions and dysfunctions for some of the most devastating human diseases, including tumors and a number of important non-neoplastic diseases. This Research Division will gather a substantial critical mass with a focus on the analysis of the molecular mechanisms and functional consequences of vascular differentiation and remodeling processes (Mannheim) and the structural and functional analysis of tumor - vessel interactions ( Heidelberg ) Applications are now invited for the following position: Independent Junior Group Leader ( Heidelberg ): (Ref.# 11/2006) Based on an exceptional record of accomplishments in the field of tumor - vessel interactions (e.g., tumor angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, metastasis research), you will be given the opportunity to apply for an independent Junior Group Leader position within the prestigious Theodor-Boveri-program of the Helmholtz society.
