Burnet Institute is seeking to fill a “Program Manager” position to manage Burnet ’s Jakarta office. This will primarily involve management of a large-scale capacity building program for local NGOs throughout Jakarta, East Java, Central Java, West Java, North Sumatra , Riau, and Papua provinces.  This position is open to expatriate applicants. The capacity building program will be in support of local NGOs’ HIV prevention, care, and support programs in the areas of harm reduction for drug users and sexual transmission among other “Most At Risk Groups” (MARGs): sex workers (male, female and transvestite/ transgender), their clients, and men who have sex with men.  The program is designed as incremental workshop-style series of trainings supplemented with face-to-face support and mentoring visits by training teams.  The Project Manager will have overall responsibility for managing this activity including coordinating the five training and support teams which will be based in Burnet Indonesia’s Jakarta and Bali offices, liaison with national and provincial technical teams and government, quality control of training, monitoring and reporting.  The Project Manager will be assisted by two national technical program coordinators, one for harm reduction, and one for sexual transmission among other MARGs.  The Project Manager will oversee preparation of materials to support capacity building training with local NGOs, delivery of skills-based training programs using participatory methodologies, and follow-up support and mentoring activities with local NGOs.
