Fellowships Cancer Research

AICR Cancer Research Fellowships support outstanding young investigators who have shown special promise in their initial studies in cancer research, providing them with an opportunity to establish an independent research group.   Applicants will be expected to be well qualified for a career in research and demonstrate the promise of becoming future research leaders. AICR Fellowships are only available to individuals who do not hold a long-term research position. Applicants should have a PhD and have completed at least three years’ postdoctoral experience at the time they would take up the fellowship, but should not normally be over 38 years of age at this point. However, consideration may be given to those over this age where their career has been affected either by a late start, or by interruption for personal or family reasons. If you will be over age 38 on 1 October 2006, you should contact AICR to check your eligibility, prior to submitting an application. Type of Research Supported Fellowships are designed to support fundamental cancer research.
